Difficulty finding a new job. is it just me? or the current economy?

For the past couple months I've been trying to find a new job and have been going to interviews. So far, no luck. For the past 3 years I've been working as a server and sometime delivery driver at a restaurant. Is the economy that bad that I can't find a new job? or is it just me?
