Will a Diabetic patient recover his pancreas ?

I am a diabetic patient since a long time. I am using tablets (Reclimet) and Insulin Injections daily twice. I am aged 76 years. I understand that my knees severe trouble also arised as side effect of Sugar ( Diabetis). Is there any remedy to my illness?......Vishnu Rao
