i am 33 years old and had pancreatitis recently. when i went to the doc for abdominal pain, they did a quick rectal exam. the test was positive for blood. the weird thing is, there is no blood that I see when i pass a stool ever. for a few months before my pancreas acted up, i was constipated. this constipation thing is something that runs in my family, but no cancers. Some times i would have to push really hard to go. sometimes if i pushed too hard, i would see a little pink on the napkin. after my bout with pancreatitis, i change my diet to high fiber and low fats. i no longer drink or smoke. that has helped a lot and it is easier to go to the bath room. i have not seen the pink residue on the napkin since. it seems like i had some hemorrhoids. i am getting a ct scan of my abdoman in about a month to see what the cause of my pancreatits is. i have so much debt already. i really can't afford anymore. I will get medical treatment as needed. but i really want to avoid unnessecary expences. my gastro doc even said the chances of me having something in my colon is slim to none. he is more concerned with me pancreas, than my rectum. of course they have to recommend it ifr there is blood in your stool.

Why won't my software load?

i have a fujifilm s1000fd camera. i installed long ago the software to transfer the pictures to the computer. the computer is supposed to automatically recognize the camera when i plug in the usb cable. it used to work fine but now it won't. no matter what i do. so i uninstalled the finepix viewer but when i put the software to reinstall it in the disc drive nothing happens. i have been around and around with this f****ing thing. i've attempted to contact windows, fujifilm, with no luck. in my message center i have a thing that says pcouffin device driver not installed. i've troubleshooted it with windows and they can't find a driver. no one seems to know what a pcouffin device is no one on ask yahoo, no one in the entire universe acts like they even know what i'm talking about. i've tried other software in the disc drive and nothing happens. I'm 25 and graduated from college last year. I studied what he pushed me to study (he tried it in his 40s but gave up cuz it was too hard to work/manage a family and study at the same time). I have a bad ingrown toenail. Help :(?

I've had it for over a month now. When I first discovered it, I cut it out, or so I thought. It quickly got worse and now the skin around it has gotten swollen, hard, and thick, keeping me from cutting it out. I think it's infected and it's very painful and sensitive. So I downloaded steam, made my username my real name, and downloaded team fortress 2. I then realized that the username I picked was my online game name, so I switched the contact email and made a brand new account with the same email I used for the last account, because that's my primary email. Anyway, I launched team fortress 2, went into a game, and it displayed my name to be my real name!!! Even though on my account it shows the new account I created. Okay, I'm 16 and a little freaked about pancreatitis and pancreas cancer. I have drank a load of pop over my short life, but what kid and/or teenage these days hasn't. I have recently started drinking water again, except for today when I drank a few pops and a gatorade because they were the only things nearest when I was playing basketball. I have been told I have parvo, but please don't tell me it is that and give me no feedback. Why does Tom find Daphne attractive? Do any of them have odd or weird characteristics? Whats are their flaws? What is humorous about them? What sad/bad things have happened to them? etc. Think of questions like that - Your characters seem fine but you need to develop them a little bit more although that's just my opinion. :)

In order for life to proceed smoothly one has to have direction. purpose the cause and effect of it. the answer to why? is a life long quest that is our portion to continue to seek those answers but in a way that allows us to learn from that which we pass through. from moment to moment. consider that all you have is this moment and you must try to make it more than it was before the last one. To learn or to proceed on the path to understanding why? To make it simple, search for that balance in wisdom that is neither surplus nor defiecient in understanding but rather that which allows a balance between all things. The answer to why is the simplest thing in the world yet when you search for it is more complex than quantem physics without formula's. Since this moment is all you have then try to make it a better one for yourself and for those around you. Because we are in effect connected to one another as part of the human race and are in debted to the state of the human condition. So try to make it better in some way. if you smile at a young girl or pick up a can to give to a goat then something has been made better. but you get the idea. Problem installing Lexmark x4650 on Vista?

As my HP printer died a little while back, I decided to buy an Lexmark 3-1 printer over the weekend. The printer seems to install fine with the provided disc. However, once it finished installing, I receive a message 'Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)'. I have reloaded the drivers 3 times from Lexmak website, but no such luck. I have spoken to Lexmark for an hour who said the printer and my laptop were working fine and it was a Vista problem.

This is all very sad. You are so young to have such burdens. It may take someone other than yourself to fix things. You probably wouldn't be able to get any of your family members to counseling, but they certainly need something. But in the absence of that, I think you should be the one to take steps toward a better understanding of the situation and what to do about it You need help dealing with your family. Being away from all of them would no doubt be better for you, but you sound to me like a person who will stay with your family through thick and thin. If someone's says they were terribly sick, I might say "oh, what was wrong?" The ads claim "your body does'nt know the difference; sugar is sugar" Once in the blood stream the body doesnt know the difference between different types of sugars but the variable is how fast they enter the blood stream, which vastly effects body systems. It is my opinion that use of (hfcs) is to blame for the high rate of diabetes in America. Need help finding a fridge (10 points)?

Okay so on my boat we have a 1988 sea ray aft cabin cruiser very nice boat but our fridge gave out =(. We bought a new one though moving it in got a giant gash on the side and turns out its a little too small. We need a fridge so we have been looking for one for a while with no luck. I wrot about two weeks to get some advise as to how I should approach this and am very thankful for all the responses I recieved. I have tried everything, from opening up a fresh can of tuna to buying her kitty milk to buying her wet food but she just will not eat. Blood results show no problems with her liver, pancreas, she's not diabetic, her red and white blood cells are okay and no signs of thyrorid which makes this all the more puzzling and frustrating. Tomorrow she is going in for a sonogram. Dr. thinks it might be intestine-related or a tumor. She has developed three rather large hard lumps on her body, including in her belly area. She will drink water, however. I took her in to the vet last week and they gave her IV fluids and a shot of cortisone which stimulated her appetite for 9 full days and then she reverted to not eating again. Help! I am left wondering what about the cortisone shot gave her the umph to open up her appetite. To me, clearly, a cortisone shot helps the problem she is having, but what can that problem be? Could it be cancer? I have been reading alot about IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and it seems right, however, while she has excessive vomitting, she doesn't have diarreahea. This is so baffling. Any one have any tips to what it might be and sites I can go into that will give me some kind of answers. This is my way of doing my own independent research, aside from what the vet is doing. I am really insecure about letting people get close to me to the point where I am mean and immature. I force people to be repulsed by me and I act in ways that no one would ever want to be around me or be my friend, not even my pets or family. It really all depends. Sometimes it goes away right after you give birth, and other times it can take a few weeks. I had Gestational Diabetes and everything went back to normal about 1-2 weeks after I had my Daughter. I had to take insulin (only at night) while I was pregnant because my morning sugars were high. Your doctor will monitor you after you have the baby to make sure everything goes back to normal. Don’t worry your body will not be dependent on it. Gestational Diabetes is just due to being pregnant and your hormones can cause things to go out of whack. After the baby is born, things go back to normal, but sometimes just take awhile. I have been ttc for yr now! My period was late this month!?

I have a 26 day cycle and I was 6 days late I'm never late. If anything my cycles early. I've been ttc for a year now with no luck. I have been having cramping very light on/ off the past week and a half and my "period" if that it was, was pinkish/orange then it barley filled a tampon (sry if tmi) Then it was only 3 days long and it ended brown and gooey (sry tmi again) I didn't have cramps with my period and now I do? Recurrent acute pancreatitis, please help!!!!!?

MY daughter will be two years old soon. She has had seven cases of acute pancreatitis. SInce her last episode she has had more sensitivity to food and her poop has never been normal. It is always stinky, greasy, bright green, or pale yellow-gray, and is always fairly loose. We have not had her tested yet for chronic pancreatitis and I've done some research on my own, but I can't seem to come up with clear cut answers as to whether or not her pancreas has sustained damage. The reason we have not yet taken her to the doc to get tested is that we will be moving soon and I can't decided if I should go now or just wait until we are moved. Also I asked a doctor what her prognosis is and he completely skirted by the issue. I can handle the truth and I need some answers if you have them or websites that I can visit to find out more. How long will she likely live if she has already progressed to chronic pancreatitis before the age of 2? Fyi, the reasons for her condition are two genetic mutations of her CFTR that are BOTH linked to pancreatitis. I feel like this may be a losing battle but I am trying as hard as I can with diet modifications to prevent any more problems. One last thing I would like to know is if there are any really good websites on what not to eat and what to eat when suffering from chronic pancreatitis. I just recently realized that the fortified orange juice I was giving her was not good because of how acidic it is. The more I learn the more I realize that I'm probably missing out on vital information for this condition. Thanks for your help!

Blood sugar will not go down type 2 diabetes?

hi, my father has type 2 diabetes. For the last month, hes been battling it very badly. hes goten up as far as 450, and one day at 180. in an entire month. He was care flighted about 4 years ago because his blood sugar hit about 500. we are very scared becasue hes on insulin, daily. and they are upping his insulin by 1mg every day, and his blood sugar still wont go down. He was at 260, then ate a few blackberries and it shot up to 350. we know his pancreas is having troubles and that his kidneys are not breaking down the sugars. but the insulin is not helping either. he is eating very well, not eating past certain times of the day, he lost 80 lbs going from 340 to 260. and he is still losing weight pretty slowly but healthily. hes 49 years old. he told me he was going to try diet pills, but i dont think he should given he is diabetic. please help..is there anything he can do, anythign at all, to help bring hte sugar down? he can barely even touch any food right now because it sends his sugars up..even bread shoots it up

Pain in the shoulder after pancreas surgery?

I had surgery last tuesday on my pancreas. They removed the tail due to cysts that were there. I didnt have pancreatitis. Starting today i have a sharp pain in my shoulder. It hurts more than the surgery site. Any ideas? What could be causing this pain? I have no other symptoms except a slight case of drymouth i think might be related to the oxycodone they gave me. The pills do not help with this pain.

Is it legal to refuse to let students take the Regents as a punishment?

My private school has this rule that if you come late you have to stay for detention. When finals and regents come they say that you have to pay it all off at a rate of $4.00 an hour. This makes some people owe up to $200.00 if they had some kind of family tragedy or something and forgot to bring a note. Anyway, their rule says that if you don't sit all of your detention or pay it all off then you can't take the Regents. As far as I know this is illegal. Ok so i've been with my husband for 8 years, since we were 16 yrs old. At the beginning of our relationship i loved his mom until she showed her True colors. Minimed seems to think it will take 5 years. I can't see how this will be possible on the current system. The pancreas uses insulin and glucagon to stabilize blood sugar levels. A diabetic only uses insulin. To me this seems like having a car with gas and no brakes.

How can I make money?

So I am a current college student. I just moved into an apartment for my second year and for summer school. The problem is that I don't have an income of any sort. The money I have now and the financial aid for the summer might be able to cover rent and food through July or mid-august, but after that I have nothing. I have been applying for jobs everywhere and going to interviews, etc., but no luck. I have no car, so I cant really travel far to work, and I have summer school, so I have had to decline a couple of full-time positions already. My parents are struggling with their own finances, so I can't exactly ask them for anything. I really don't know what else to do. I've tried selling a few things online to no avail. I've taken out as much financial aid as possible. Every day I scan the ground for any lost treasures. Can anyone help??? Please and thank you!

What seemed to be a minor Trojan that got into my system deleted the entire os. I absolutely need the files and programs from the hard drive (I am a software developer, potentially millions of dollars of unpublished software on that hard drive, it failed during a backup, my luck). So I thought of getting an ssd, installing windows on it, and using my previous drive as a slave drive. Could I recover my software and programs like that? Before you go too far, you might be interested in social work as opposed to sociology or biology. This would allow you to work with kids, although not formally as a teacher. ok, so i started this Diary a LONG time ago... around the age of 14 (i am now 21)... my diary has brought me through the toughest times in my life... and its been there for me when no one else had... it talks of growing up...love...heartbreak...tragedies... life... and finding clarity...mostly its a romance... although i am a little afraid that i may be a tad childish in the beginning of my diary (i started it at 14 so OF COURSE i'm childish ha ha) but i'm afraid that will throw people off of it.... but still, i wanted to figure out a way to possibly publish it. Thing is, the way i wrote it, was sort of not like any other Diaries, you see, i draw in them... so its sort of became a graphic novel/Diary as it came along. And i wanted it to stay that way. i don't want to change anything, because i've meticulously drew and pasted things and its the ART that makes my diary enjoyable to read. you see ive lent it to a couple of my friends for feedback, and they've said its the art that makes it fun to read. but, i'm afraid if i get it officially published, my art will be taken away, and that's what i DON'T want. how would i be able to publish this Diary as is? nitty and gritty and all that fun that makes it... Should I put my dog to sleep :( please read?

i have never had a bichion, so i wouldnt really know... but i think that you have to look at the comfort of your dog before yourself. i had a chihuaha mix when i was younger, that had a bad back. it was either surgery or get it put to sleep, and my parents helped me get through the desicion of putting it to sleep, due to the fact that it would have a sore back for the rest of its life after surgery, which was also very expensive. i also think that a vet wouldnt recommend putting the animal to sleep unless it was really a painful experience. not only because they love animals but because of the money he would be sacrificing by not giving your dog a surgery. all in all it is up to you, and the desicion will be a hard one either way...i am a dog lover and understand what you must be going through. but also being a dog lover i am not going to do whatever it takes for my dog to stay alive. im not the type of person who would rather have a dog that suffers than have my dog put to sleep...i guess this is a good oppertunity to find out what kind of person you are. hope this help~

So, for the last 2 years or so, I've had all the symptoms of diabetes, frequent dilute urination, extreme thirst and hunger, blurred vision and feeling tired. And even pains around my pancreas after eating sugary food. Naturally, I have gone to the doctors for various blood tests over the course of the last 2 years, the most recent one less than 2 weeks ago. each time I get the results from the blood test back they say its absolutely healthy and there are no issues with blood sugar or anything diabetes related, or any other complications for a matter of fact. what can I do?!

So lonely without friends. :-(?

I have been alone with out friends for about my whole entire life. I Had some small friends but i was always the second friend or just the second option and it was a short friendship. I only have 2 girls I talk to now and they are usually busy with their best friends or are never here for me when I need them I usually only see them once a month. It seems like when they are with me they use me and want me to buy everything for them when they have money and drive them around which I have no problem doing but I dont like the feelign of beng used. Honestly there is nothing wrong with me I love making people laugh I am entergetic I am always there for the ones I love. I just feel a big emptiness inside of me, I only have my mom and she is always busy and isn't that much intimate with me we never hug or anything or talk about these things. My seemly impossibile question is where do I go from here I tried going alone to events to find friends it back fired and I ended up more lonely. I have tried meeting ppl from facebook no luck... I've had type 1 diabetes for about 12 years and don't have any complications yet - diabetes doesn't stop me doing anything like my job or working out, but it does make these things a little more complicated than they are for most people! I'm very surprised that you've had type 1 for a month and you're not on insulin!? Are you sure that the diagnosis is correct? Have you seen a specialist? It sounds like you need some specialist advise from a consultant or specialist nurse. But don't worry - diabetes is something that you can live with and you can reduce your chances of getting complications by taking care of yourself as well as you can.
